What Are SEO Targeted Articles?

Before one starts to develop content for SEO purposes, they have to understand what SEO articles are first. They have to know the elements that differentiate regular non-targeted content from SEO material. Only then can a writer develop an article that is accessible to the users. Content that improves the user experience. Content that is relevant to the users. The main aim of SEO targeted articles is to make it easy to find by search engines. To achieve this, here are two key elements.

Target Keyword & Referring Backlinks To Your Articles

  • Your Target Keyword

This might be a single word or a whole phrase. Either way, it remains to be the most important bit of this exercise. A keyword is one that is commonly searched by users when they want to find the material. The key to choosing the most appropriate keyword is by using internet tools. Sites where one can enter information about their content and have the tool to compute a whole set of possible keywords.

This keyword should be used several times in the article. Pay attention to the keyword density. This is the ratio of the keyword to the rest of the content. If it is anything more than 6%, the search engine might assume it is spammy and that there is keyword stuffing. The latter might attract a penalty. Of course, the article will not get anywhere near the search results.

There are several ways in which one can use their keyword. First is by having it in the title of the article. It should also be in the URL. Preferably, at the beginning of the slug. The ALT Tag is a group of words that appear when the cursor rests on an image. Having the keyword in this ALT Tag increases the possibility of clicks and visibility for the article. With a properly chosen keyword and intelligent placement, one should be good to go.

  • Referring Backlinks &/or Links

This can actually be very complicated and tricky. Links show the search engine that there is sufficient connection with other sites. It increases authority for the site. Subsequently, increasing authority for the article. Obviously stay away from spammy sites. If you link to spammy sites then the SEO article will be disqualified by the search engine. Or it will lose merit with the users. There are a few rules or guidelines for linking.

Link only to relevant content. How would it look if an article about ice-cream linked to a site that sells Autospares? It would be weird. It is always advisable to link to these relevant sites earlier in the body of the article. This way they get more attention. Do not place a link in every single word on the page. Space it out a little. Like every 120 words or so.

Internal linking is encouraged. This is very advantageous to the website. See, internal linking allows one article to link to another part of the website. It allows users access to information. It also has the users spending more time on the website. This increases the authority of the site and assures the integrity of content therein.

Meta Tags & Content of an SEO Article

Let's use "white label SEO reseller company" as the keyword example for our title tag and meta description tag from one of our previous blog posts.

  • HTML Title Tag (<title>)

  • For Example:
    • meta title tag

There is a reason the title will almost always be emboldened. It announces to the world- ‘I AM HERE!’ It is advised that one include the keyword in the title. Try google something. You will find that you are leaning towards clicking on the result whose title has the word(s) you searched. If including the kw proves impossible. One should try having the keyword as close to the title as possible. Keep the title under 72 characters. This way, the whole title is visible on the search results.

  • Meta Description

  • For Example
    • meta description tag

This is that bit of literature under the title in the search results. It is like a snippet or very brief summary of what will happen in the article. Like a trailer but for articles. Keep it under 165 words. Capture as much as possible the gist of the article. It will determine whether the reader will go further and click on it. Or, if he or she will move on to the next result. Lead off with the keyword.

  • Body Content

This is where it all goes down. Notice the links were not mentioned in the above two. Content must be relevant and centered. It must be unique. It must flow properly. Keywords should not be placed haphazardly. It should be at least 300 words. This makes it more appealing top the search engine as a viable and trustworthy source of information. See, there is more material for the search engine to vet. Include the keyword on a bulleted list, if there are any. Do not under any circumstances spin an article. It confuses the search engine. The result is that both articles might get scraped and in turn penalized.
